Our Story

Oratorio Music Foundation, formerly known as Oratorio Group, was born in 1996 at the Federal Polytechnic Ede when Dr. Oyindamola Adejumo-Ayibiowu, then a vibrant student, heard the quiet but compelling instrucuon of the Holy Spirit: “Organize a concert.”

What began as a simple act of obedience quickly became an interdenominational campus gospel movement in Ede.
 
The maiden concert, Oratorio ’96, shook the ground of the Multipurpose Hall with the sound of worship, and many souls were saved.
 
From that day, Oratorio became an altar of revival, a place where youth encounter God, discover their gift, and rise into purpose.

Our Mission

For nearly three decades, Oratorio has stood as a light to the youth in a nation where challenges such as unemployment, drugs, crime, and hopelessness often cloud the future.

Through music, discipleship, and social impact, we inspire young people to see the glorious light of God in the midst of darkness, and to use their talents for His glory.

What started in Ede has grown into a movement with a global vision:

  • Annual Concerts and Campus Outreaches: Since 1996, our yearly concerts and other music events have been a covenant altar of salvation, where hundreds encounter Jesus afresh. Each year, testimonies abound, and everyone who labors to make Oratorio a success returns better, bigger, and larger.
  • Global Discipleship (Oratorio 2.0): Today, Oratorio is no longer limited to campus grounds. Through Oratorio 2.0, we are building a global discipleship platform that unites music, faith, and social transformation.
  • Digital Revival: We are leveraging technology to disciple youth across nations through online classes, live worship sessions, and creative media campaigns.
  • Mentorship & Alumni Network: Our Alumni – many of whom are professionals, leaders, administers today – remain connected, mentoring new generations, while extending Oratorio’s vision across campuses.
